Headteacher’s Profile

Eugenia Papadaki is of Greek origin, married to an Italian and has two daughters brought up trilingually from birth.
She has lived in the UK for almost 20 years where she carried out her higher education studies earning a B.A degree in Modern Foreign Languages(Italian and French), a Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics specializing in Bilingualism and Bilingual Education and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education(PGCE), at the University of London.
She obtained a qualified teacher status in the UK and has taught extensively in diverse educational settings including public secondary schools, Adult Education and Greek Community schools.
Over the years, Eugenia developed not only an expertise but also a passion for bilingualism and bilingual education and with the insights her own family experience has given her as well as a clear mission and vision, she decides to found a bilingual school for pre-school children just outside Milan where she moved to with her family in 1992.
Today Eugenia is the founding and executive director of Play English and the Bilingual school of Monza where children aged 1 to 14 are receiving their education through the medium of two languages, English and Italian.
Eugenia continues to contribute to the field of Bilingualism and Bilingual Education through publications, presentations at International conferences, professional development courses and workshops for teachers and parent education programmes. She acts as a consultant to families and professionals who are interested in Bilingual development and education.
